I recently spent some time plein air painting at the magnificent Madrone Springs Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas. Most of my time was spent in the area of the chicken and guinea fowl coop! This impressive guy was all over the place! While I did complete some plein air pieces, I worked on this particular painting back in the studio. He is in many of the photos I took to remember this wonderful event!
